Foundations (2024-2026)

Foundations is a unique element of Immanuel Online School. Foundations combines Biblical studies, theology, apologetics and philosophy, religious studies, church and cultural history to provide students with a deep-rooted understanding of Christianity and the contemporary world in which they live. Students also have the opportunity to work through a book thematically and the "Who am I in Christ" 6 week series is adapted specifically for teenagers to make it relevant and engaging. GCSE Level Foundations also covers the 'Soul' series (Christianity explored), Gems from the book of Acts, and lessons on 'Wisdom for life'. Lots to look forward to.

English Literature IGCSE (2024-2026)

This course prepares students for the CAiE IGCSE examination in English Literature (0475). Cambridge IGCSE Literature in English offers learners the opportunity to read, interpret, evaluate and respond to a range of literature in English. The range includes drama, prose and poetry from the works of Shakespeare to contemporary literature. Lots to look forward to! Literature reflects the human experience, and the Bible is a testament to this. The IGCSE English Literature course introduces works of literature from different times, cultures, and perspectives, revealing the power of stories to shape our worldview and relationships.

Starting September 2024. This course prepares students for the CAIE IGCSE examination in First Language English (0500). Cambridge IGCSE First Language English is designed for learners whose first language is English. The course enables learners to: develop the ability to communicate clearly, accurately and effectively when speaking and writing. use a wide range of vocabulary, and the correct grammar, spelling and punctuation. Language is a gift from God that allows us to communicate and connect with others. The IGCSE English Language course teaches the mechanics and beauty of language, reminding us of the power of words to shape thoughts, actions, and relationships.
