Log in to the learning portal and customise your dashboard and profile. Have a look around and familiarise yourself with the interface. Make a careful note of your username and password.

Complete the induction course and "mark as done" as you complete each section.

On the navigation menu, click on "Courses". Look through each of your selected courses and view the tutor introductions.(Some of your tutors may still be busy doing theirs, so do check back if so!)

Live track students, please download and print your planner. This is an extremely important document that tells you the date/time for each lesson and what you should be studying for each tutorial each week. Similarly, the scope and sequence document is an overview, with dates and times, for NSW students. Please print and have these handy for reference.

Your timetable is a visual representation of your goals, priorities, and objectives. Spend some time thinking about what you want to put on it and how it will be organised. Move the prep labels to where you would like them to be, and don't forget to add other things too—e.g., time for prayer, fitness, additional reading, and trying something new! Your academic and pastoral mentor will ask you about your timetable. Feel free to send it to them or upload it here in the induction room if you would like to share!

Good note-taking is a habit of excellent people! It really is, especially when you are learning. Note-taking helps knowledge go into your long-term memory and keeps you accountable and disciplined. So use Week Zero to label your notebooks, invest in some good pens and highlighters, and be prepared to learn!

It's time to start your prep. Immanuel Online School works off the highly effective flipped learning model and LTT (Lesson, Test, Tutorial). For every single lesson, ensure you are taking careful notes (while reading the lesson info, watching the video, and any suggested tasks and activities). Do this faithfully. You can then, if there is one, take the lesson test for some immediate diagnostic feedback. If there is an assignment, please complete it, and do look through the course to see what assignments are due to get a head start. Live track students, when you come to a tutorial, you must be prepared and have done the prep work (lesson). The tutorial is a chance to connect with others, have some spiritual as well as academic input from your tutor, be assessed for learning (assessment for learning via Kahoot, 121 questioning, breakout rooms, round-the-room sharing, Blooket, or other methods), and to learn some more from your expert tutor.
