"Take The Lectern". Welcome to the student led IOS Debating Club - dedicated to nurturing the art of debate within a Christian worldview. Making Music with Paul Harding
Join Paul for an interactive session on music making for today's generation. (date TBC) Paul began composing at 15, paused until finding faith at 23, then reignited his passion in 2016. His vision: crafting pop/worship songs with a contemporary edge. His album "Change the World" and singles gained traction on platforms like UCB2 and Premier Gospel. In 2022, he delved into electronic music, releasing tracks under the alias "Anduna J". His diverse works, from high-energy "drum and bass" like "Giants Fall" to the mellow vibes of "The Chill EP", garnered attention, including airplay on UCB1 and BBC Introducing programs in 2023. We need more great writers and in order to be a great writer with ideas and the ability to craft a story, you need to read! Join us as we adventure through this wonderful classic. The Hobbit is a fantasy novel by English author J. R. R. Tolkien. It was published in 1937 to wide critical acclaim, being nominated for the Carnegie Medal and awarded a prize from the New York Herald Tribune for best juvenile fiction. The book acts as a prologue of sorts for the great trilogy, The Lord of the Rings. Did you know C.S Lewis and Tolkien (also a devout believer in God and follower of Christ) were friends? They met for the first time in 1926, and they formed a friendship that would transform their lives and careers.

This is a course for selected pupils who are interested in the idea of starting a business based around a product. This is an opportunity to learn a little but also discuss ideas and share thoughts and insights. There is some lesson content that introduces you to some interesting concepts - very simply and in a basic way - of starting a product based business, going through some of the things that are involved. Anyone can do it! The research is also very interesting.
